Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! Not a good start for me for the new year being out of commission with a bad flu. 2013 can only get better from here.

Well, what can I say besides… it was going to happen sooner or later. Got rear ended for the 5th? time today.

Happened around 4pm at the Columbus drive Blackmarsh Rd. intersection heading south (opposite side from Dominion). I was stopped in the left of two lanes, a couple of car lengths back from the beginning of the turn lane for Dominion, Blackmarsh Rd.. Myself and my brother were in the car. This guy in a grey Jeep came up behind us and then he started to turn into the right lane, but he was obviously too close to the car to make the turn and smashed into the back passenger side of our CRV. I saw it happen in the rear view mirror but it happened so fast there was nothing I could do, not that I could have anyway because there was nowhere else to go.

The Jeep owner stopped and we got out to look at the damage. He said it was totally his fault and he called in the accident to the police. I picked up a bunch of parts that were busted off my vehicle. We decided to move ahead into the turn lane to try and get out of the way a bit. Got back out and took pictures of my vehicle and his. We decided to move to the parking lot of the Tub and Tile place across the intersection from Dominion on Blackmarsh Rd.. We got out again in that parking lot and he again said it was totally his fault. He also said he didn't have his insurance papers in the car so his wife was on the way with them. We sat in the car until she came and exchanged info by taking pictures of each other's driver's licenses and supposedly each other's insurance. His wife took pics on her phone of my info, but after the fact (when I reported the accident the next day at the Parade St. Police Station) I noticed that his printable receipt was for his registration, not his insurance. After exchanging info he left and we left shortly after.

The shed is finally back in business. First thing this morning, myself and Todd met with the crane guy, and besides a little trouble getting the heavy straps threaded under the fallen shed, it went without much of a problem. It was hoisted by a crane up to the supports. She's now bolted to 6x6's in concrete.
